Floating into the Future: NSPCL’s 15 MW Solar Plant is Fully Live!

NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited (NSPCL) has successfully achieved full commercial operation of its 15 MW floating solar project in Bhilai. The milestone was reached on June 24, 2026, following the commissioning of Island-2, the third and final 5 MW (2 x 2.5 MW) module.

This project represents a key expansion of the NTPC Group's renewable energy portfolio. With this facility now fully online, NTPC Group’s total installed capacity has risen to 90,904 MW, with its commercial capacity reaching 89,824 MW.
